If you have admin permissions to manage assignments, you'll be able to do so via the Assignments tab on the Team Management page. From here, you can switch between two assignment subtabs:
- General: This is where you’ll go to assign Elite Selling Certifications and any non-certification learning content. In this subtab, you can view the assignments you’ve created, as well as assignments created by other admins and managers in your company. For more information about this subtab, check out the ADMIN RESOURCE: Manage General Assignments for Your Company article.
- Command Series Certifications: This is where you’ll go to assign Command Series Certifications. In this sub-tab, you’ll see a list of professional certifications in scope for your company that you can click into to see the learners that are assigned, eligible to be assigned, and not eligible for each. The Command Series Certifications subtab is the focus of this article.
NOTES:
If you have multiple assignment admins coordinate to make sure you're not both assigning a certification or editing a certification assignment at the same time, as doing so may cause the changes made by one admin to get overwritten by the other.
Navigate to the Assignments → Command Series Certifications Subtab
The Assignments → Command Series Certifications subtab on the Team Management page is where you’ll go to manage professional certification assignments. To get there:
- Select the Profile and Account Settings icon in the top right menu.
- Select Team Management.
- Select Assignments tab
- Select Command Series Certifications subtab
On this Command Series Certifications subtab, you can see all of the professional certifications in scope for your company.
Note: Only those granted Manage Assignments permissions will have access to this tab. Only managers have access to the General assignments subtab.
View Command Series Certification Assignment Status for Learners
Once you click into a certification, you can see all active learners within your company split into one of three tabs based on their assignment status:
- Assigned — Learners that are assigned to the certification.
- Eligible for Assignment — Learners that are eligible for the certification, but have not yet been assigned.
- Not Eligible — Learners that are not eligible for the certification, and cannot be assigned to it at this time.
Notes:
- Switching between these tabs will reset any selections, filters, sorting, etc that you’ve applied to the table on that tab.
- Switching between these tabs will not reset the Search box - searches apply across all 3 tabs.
Assign a Command Series Certification to Eligible Learners
Within a certification, in the Eligible for Assignment tab:
- Select the checkbox next to each learner you want to assign to the certification.
- Select Assign.
- Add a Due Date for when you want the learner(s) to complete the certification by (optional).
- If you set a due date, the assignee(s) will receive a reminder 5 days before their due date (if not yet complete).
- Select Assign.
The certification will now appear in the Enroll → Assignments list for these assignees and they’ll be notified via email and bell notification.
Note: In the admin view, these learners will now show under the Assigned tab instead of the Eligible tab.
Manage Learners Assigned to a Command Series Certification
Within a certification, in the Assigned tab, you’ll see a list of all users currently assigned to this certification. From here you can take these actions:
Send Reminder Email
- Select the checkbox next to each assignee you want to send an immediate reminder email to.
- Select Actions → Send Reminder Email.
- Select Send.
This will send a reminder email to all assignees you selected, except for those that have already completed the certification.
Update Due Date
- Select the checkbox next to each assignee you want to update the due date for.
- Select Actions → Update Due Date.
- Select the new Due Date (or leave it blank/clear it out if you want to completely remove the due date for the assignee(s) but still keep the certification assigned to them).
- Select Update.
This will change the due date for the selected learners.
Unassign
- Select the checkbox next to each assignee you want to unassign from the certification.
- Select Actions → Unassign.
- Select Unassign.
The certification will no longer appear in the Enroll → Assignments list for these learners but it will still be available for them in the Enroll → Certifications section (and any previous progress will remain).
Notes:
- Unassigning a learner does not remove their eligibility or re-set their enrollment status. These learners will still appear in the Certification Progress report, but the Due Date and Assignment Name fields will be blank.
- In the admin view, these learners will now show under the Eligible tab instead of the Assigned tab.
View List of Ineligible Learners
Within a certification, in the Not Eligible tab you’ll see a list of users that are not enrolled in the prerequisites required to be eligible for this certification. Command Series Certifications are only available to learners that are enrolled in an associated Fast Start Program (which should only occur once they have attended an instructor-led training).
