Hi Everyone! My name is Kali and I am a speech-therapist and self-employed artist. I have a great set of transferable skills that pair really well with BDR/SDR positions. Based on your experience, what is the best way to break into the industry?
Hi Kali! There are a lot of great things to do, but I would contact some people on LinkedIn that have the job title and see how they did it. Good luck!
@Kali Picard That's a great suggestion from Ben. LinkedIn is a great starting point for Networking.
With your Ascender Pro plan, I'd also strongly encourage you to get your Pipeline Generation certificate and post that to your LinkedIn profile.
You can also start posting LinkedIn articles about your BDR journey. How are you making progress? What are the things you're doing? Basically creating an online journal of your experience will help shine a light on you!
I'd also suggest joining our Networking Night event! It's going to be a great event!
Thank you so much Joe! I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question and your valuable insight.
I have signed up for the networking night and am so excited to start making some connections. So far, I've taken 6 certification courses via LinkedIn and have been making posts on my journey as an entrepreneur and speech therapist relating it to sales. I am also in a course that helps educators understand their transferrable skillsets to help tailor resumes and am engaging in cold-networking.
I am definitely going to add a course specifically on pipeline generation on my task list! Again thank you so much!
Thanks so much!
This rules, and so do you, Kali! Thanks for being here!
