@Lars-Erik Blenne Lien I just started pursuing other things, really. I got way more into voiceover and found I could do that more often with less equipment. That pizza sounds amazing!!!

    Title: None at the Moment

    Industry: B2B Community

Goals I want to achieve: Become more qualified and find a strong fit at a job I am both passionate about and compensates me well. I am hoping to become a homeowner in the next couple of years and I am striving to be the best family member and friend I can be.

Hobbies: Reading, sports (fantasy football season is coming up), live music, and trying to learn more about myself, life, and others

One thing you want to get out of being an Ascender: I am really hoping to fully embody the lessons from this course. I took Command of the Message from Paddy Mac at Vertafore a few years back and the lessons I learned have carried with me a long way. I am hoping that completing this course will open the door to new opportunities for me, too. If I make some friends, even better!

Welcome to the community, @David Chimenti! I can't wait to see more from you and learn more about you! What are you reading, now? I am always looking for my next read!

I've been somewhat head down on the MEDDICC training these last few weeks, but have still been finding time to read some spiritual literature and academic pieces. There is a really great scholarly article on my LinkedIn about the G.I.Joe Phenomenon, which states, that simply knowing new information does not necessarily allow us to overcome our biases. I highly recommend that. I attached it below for ease of access for others.

Other than that, I read history books a lot and recently bought a first edition set of "A History of the English Speaking Peoples" by Winston Churchill that I intend on starting when I have my coursework complete.

Can you walk me through what types of literature most interest you?

@David Chimenti I am all over the board. I've been on a "living person's memoir" kick, recently. There's a great one from Drew Magary on his recovery from a traumatic brain injury that he suffered. I do like fiction, of course, but I really like any well-told story, real or fake.

I'm also digging into some books on community building and time management, too. I'm a sucker for that stuff.

Well, given the conversation we are having right now, I'd have to say the community building makes a ton of sense!

Living person memoirs are great because the story isn't finished yet. You get to pick it up midway and watch it develop as time goes on. It's great to see how others navigate future change, as well.
